Old and Stuck: Bingo Players Can’t Access the Loo

Forget gambling, bingo is a game that requires a different kind of luck – the luck of being able to get to the restroom on time! Increasingly, however, old and stuck bingo players are discovering they are locked out of the loo, much to their dismay.

Bingo Players: Left Holding It In

As many bingo players can recall, it’s a nerve-wracking moment when one needs a break from a game. If one doesn’t make it to the restroom in time, it’s not just a missed opportunity – it can be a real game changer. And for elderly bingo players, it’s a particularly dire situation. Many of them can’t get up and down quickly, and so they’re left holding it in and hoping for the best.

Of course, this isn’t just an issue for the elderly. People of all ages have found themselves in this position. But for the elderly, it has become a more serious issue, and many are scared to even attend bingo games anymore.

Locked Out of the Loo: Old and Stuck?

It’s no secret that the elderly often have a difficult time getting around, and bingo trips have become increasingly challenging for them. Thanks to the fact that many places require a ticket or pass to get into the restroom, many elderly bingo players find themselves locked out of the loo. And even if they manage to get a ticket, they often can’t make it there and back in time.

Those who are lucky enough to stay at the same venue all day have it a bit better. But those who have to move between venues have it the worst. And many times, venues don’t have enough restrooms or staff to accommodate the number of people playing. As a result, elderly bingo players can be seen desperately searching for a restroom, only to come up empty-handed.

It’s a difficult situation for elderly bingo players, and it’s one that needs to be addressed. With more focus on making spaces accessible and accommodating to those who need it, elderly bingo players won’t have to live in fear of being locked out of the loo and stuck in a game.
